What to Do after High School?

The systems through which high schools, postsecondary education and workforce training work to prepare students should also include local industry and workforce needs. It should be connected, targeted, and aligned to help all learners succeed and prepare to find successful employment opportunities that are needed in their community.

Existing postsecondary education and workforce training opportunities are frequently delivered through disconnected and misaligned systems. Many students graduate with no idea of which industries need workers, which training can help best on their path for gainful employment, and many fall out of the employment pipeline way too early.

To change this, we work to provide strategies, training, and collaborations to improve how these systems work together, strengthening each community's capacity to understand and advance student outcomes while in high school and making it easier for employers and students to look at future employment needs together. Our training programs are designed to meet both employers, communities, and specific learner needs.
